Client Story: Jennica and Nick

It’s been a tough year for Jennica and her family, but thanks to your support they have hope.

Jennica was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in early 2019 and lost her job as a pharmacy benefits manager after going through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.

Jennica and her husband, Nick, of 19 years, have six children together ranging from ages 3 to 18. When Jennica lost her job the family moved into an apartment with Jennica’s parents.

Nick drives for Uber and works other odd jobs to financially support the family. But it’s been a struggle. Jennica’s parents purchased a home and helped the family stay in the apartment. However, the apartment didn’t have any furnishings.

Your support of The Mustard Seed’s furniture and clothing programs enabled the family to receive 41 pieces of furniture, including beds, dressers, linens, pots and pans, baby items and clothing.

“It’s just so amazing,” Jennica said. “This is a blessing that my kids will have a table to eat at, a couch to sit on and a bed to sleep in.”

Thank you for caring about people suffering in our community and for helping Central Florida residents regain hope, dignity and stability.
