Title: Client Warehouse Associate

Position purpose

Client Warehouse Associate is an integral part of interactions between The Mustard Seed organization, referring agencies, case management and furniture clients. Coordinating all processes that involve the furniture clients and the disbursement of furniture.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

The Client Warehouse Associate will work under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager and Director of Operations & Client Engagement providing operational support, but not limited to:

  • Greet clients as they arrive at The Mustard Seed (TMS) and determining their needs by walking through the rows of furniture with the clients.
  • Make certain that all items going out of the warehouse are documented properly. Clients must sign and date the forms upon completion. These forms in the clients file are to be delivered to the Client Intake Coordinator after the client has been processed.
  • Tag furniture for delivery and assist with loading onto TMS trucks.
  • Responsibility for warehouse inventory. Maintain clean and orderly dish pack and linen rooms. Responsibility for maintaining an organized and clean warehouse and loading area.
  • Sorting furniture items as they arrive in the warehouse and completing inventory sheets.
  • Accepting donations from donors, offering them a receipt and a thank you, as well as assuring that all the donated items are separated into their respective areas with the assistance of the thrift store manager, including: Clothing, Retail, Bedding, Recycling, Furniture, etc.
  • Supervise volunteers in the furniture portion of the warehouse including the dish pack and linen rooms.
  • Organize warehouse in an efficient manner, to optimize choosing process for clients.
  • Other duties as assigned by TMS Management.
