Furniture for Daniell and Her Children

For Daniell, single mother to four children, connecting to resources in the Central Florida community has given her the tools to rebuild her life. Finding herself homeless in June of 2021, Daniell stayed at Orlando Union Rescue Mission while taking classes with Jobs Partnership. “I graduated in their May of 2022 class, and then got my clinical medical certification, and now I’m a lead at my job.”

Daniell and her children continued to stay at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission as she worked on her credit, applying to purchase a home through Habitat for Humanity. Daniell chose a “rebuild” home rather than a new build to expedite her process. Now that she has a stable home for her children, she’s able to receive furniture through The Mustard Seed’s furniture program.

When asked if she had any advice for those in similar circumstances, Daniell responded, “Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There’s a lot more resources out there than you would think.”

Daniell received 27 pieces of furniture to make her house into a home thanks to the generosity of those who give to The Mustard Seed of Central Florida.
