Throwback to Chairs for Charity and Raise the Table’s of the Past!

We are just six weeks away from our upcoming fundraiser, Raise the Table! Raise the Table is an exciting night of dinner and dancing to support the mission of The Mustard Seed of Central Florida to help rebuild the lives of families and individuals emerging from crisis. Let’s “throwback” to some of our previous events:

As a predecessor to Raise the Table, The Mustard Seed hosted “Chairs for Charity,” a signature live auction event where guests would bid on themed furniture pieces. Here are some of the cool pieces that were auctioned off in years past:

2010:

2017

A final Chairs for Charity was held in 2019:

After the Covid-19 pandemic, Chairs for Charity was reconfigured as the new Raise the Table, which debuted in 2021:

This event featured comedian Rauce Padgett and the building of a table on stage.

2022:

Our speaker in 2022 was City of Orlando Poet Laureate, Shawn Welcome and his wife, Janna, who shared about their experience receiving furniture from The Mustard Seed.

2023:

2023 marked The Mustard Seed’s 35th anniversary, and brought speak Michael Bailey, Guest Services Manager at the Coalition for the Homeless. Michael started his journey as a resident at the Coalition, and was housed through one of their programs and received furniture from The Mustard Seed.

We are excited to be hosting Raise the Table this year on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 from 6-9:30pm. Tickets are on sale now! Click here to get your tickets to this event. We also have sponsorship opportunities available, and for more information, you can click here.

We hope to see you at Raise the Table this year for an exciting night of dinner and dancing, featuring a cocktail hour and silent auction and DJ Dennis Michael!
